YUA Natural, the story of its founder

In 2022, Florence Locufier founded YUA Natural, marking a turning point in her career after more than 11 years with a major Belgian beauty chain. In 2019, Florence dramatically transformed her consumption pattern, opting for minimalism, zero waste, and conscious consumption. This personal awareness led her to a career aligned with her new values.

During the lockdown period, Florence deeply questioned her trajectory and actively sought sustainable alternatives to plastic and waste. She quickly realized that there were few ethical and natural alternatives for hair accessories. After months of research, she discovered an elastic made from natural latex, free from petroleum derivatives. This discovery was the starting point of the YUA Natural project, which gradually took shape and became clearer.

YUA Natural's commitment

GOTS Certification: Although the brand is not yet GOTS certified due to the lengthy and costly process for a young company, all their fabrics, yarns, and labels are. This ensures environmentally friendly production and high standards in organic textiles.

Plastic-free: Florence is unwavering when it comes to plastic. Every component of YUA Natural products has been carefully selected to exclude synthetic materials. So you won't find any polyester in their products. The labels, sewing thread, and fabrics are made from organic cotton certified by GOTS. Additionally, the elastics are made from natural latex, of plant origin, and not from petroleum derivatives.

Respect for people: YUA Natural works closely with Belgian Adapted Workshops (ETA), which have a mission to provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities. This collaboration guarantees ethical and socially responsible production.
